The world is weeping
The world is weeping
Unexpected summer storms
Maybe Mother Earth tears
In St. Louis suburbs
They are tear gas inspired
Mothers cry for baby boys
Once swaddled and carried
Profiled now only
Possible suspects
Fathers cry in dead end jobs
Poverty destined to darkened skin
Martin begged us
Look inside
To heart inside of skin
To praise character before trophies
He is dead now
A hollow dying
How much death before we see
How long before
We care
More than fear
