It all works out
Or
I have no regrets
Or
It is what it is
It might be a copout
It might be wise
Especially, if spoken with zen-like calm
And faraway gaze
Do homeless people say it?
The terminally ill?
Or are the words end and day
Best left disconnected
Lately, at the end of the day
Even sometimes at the beginning
I have been so disconnected
I felt like a boxed puzzle set of
10,000 pieces
I guess my concern is that
At the end of the day
I'm missing a few key pieces
I've got so many
Shades of blue and gray
I just don't know
Are they sky-blue seas
Or approaching storms, but
What choice do we have
I just keep
Sorting through the box
Fitting pieces together
As best I can
Hoping
To make the
Prettiest picture
Our scattered puzzles and
My tired eyes
Will allow
